I do not feel confident relying on a photograph of a printed fabric. Nor should you be. We would much rather send you as many free fabric samples as you need to be certain of your choice. These are sent out by "first class" post for you to match to your existing furnishings, wallpaper, etc., in the comfort of your own home. If an exact colour match is essential for your order, please let us know and we will contact you for details. We are always grateful of these back but it is not a condition of us sending them to you. Back to top The print samples you have sent look fine but I cannot see enough of the pattern. Can I have some more? Yes, we will send larger samples but if you need a full pattern repeat we will have to charge a £10 deposit as it will usually mean sending 64cm of fabric. This is, of course, fully refundable on its safe return - whether you order or not. If you would like to take advantage of this service please contact us on 01526 343 888.
Back to top I want a roman blind but can't see one on your web site in the fabric I want. Is it available? We can make almost all the fabrics into any of the curtains, valances and roman blinds. We will advise you if we do not think it suitable. Back to top I have seen a photograph in my magazine that shows exactly the look I would like to achieve, can you make it for me? We don't know without seeing it but we will welcome the opportunity to try! Send us a copy of the photograph and we will be happy to quote you by return. Back to top What assurance can you give me about the quality of your fabrics?
We only buy 'first quality' fabrics, directly from the same source as the better quality High Street shops and Department stores. Most of the fabrics in our stock range are from well known brand houses and they are all covered by our one year guarantee against manufacturing defects or fading. Back to top What about the quality of your making up? We have been producing and selling curtains by mail order for over 30 years and our quality systems (including the way we handle customer complaints) are audited twice a year by the British Standards Institute as part of our ISO 9002:2000 accreditation. Back to top How do you monitor customer satisfaction? We regularly send out a questionnaire with our orders inviting customer feedback on every aspect of our service. This is an opportunity for customers to tell us what they really think. Out of two thousand replies, over 88% have rated us excellent, over 99% rated us above average and 99.7% rated us average or above! Quite frankly, you do not achieve that level of satisfaction by giving customers poor quality of service or product! Back to top If I have a complaint how can I get you to resolve it? In the unlikely event that you have a problem with your order, we will arrange to have it collected from any UK address you nominate (probably the same working day) and we aim to have it returned to you within four working days. Back to top I work full time and would find it difficult to take delivery unless I know exactly when delivery will be made. We use a next working day delivery service as standard and a signature is required on delivery. By special request we can call you when your order is ready for despatch and/or we can deliver to an alternative address (work, neighbour, family, friend, etc). If you are not in when the delivery arrives, a card will be left, giving you the option to arrange a suitable delivery. Pre 12 p.m. or Saturday delivery services are available for an extra charge but they are expensive. Back to top I am not very confident about measuring for myself and I am afraid of making a mistake. How can you help when you are so far away? We are nearer than you think because we can actually talk you through the measuring process whilst you are in your home. On our web site you will find a simple measuring guide but if you are unsure any any way, please call our advice and our trained customer service people will help you. These are not sales people and will not try to sell you anything -they will also take your order over the telephone at exactly the same pricing as our web site.
If you have made a mistake of any kind, even if the colour is wrong, please talk with us and we will try and help. Back to top There are so many options and I am not sure e.g. which colour to edge my valance in, and what colour braid for my tie-backs - can you help? We are quite happy to suggest colour combinations and send you samples we think would coordinate. Call our advice line and give us the colours of your suite, carpet, wallpaper, etc. or you can send us samples to match to. Back to top Why do you insist on payment with the order? All our fabrics are specifically cut and made against an individual order. We have no part-made products awaiting your order and equally we cannot recycle orders that some-one refuses to pay for to make product for other customers. Therefore, we would have to cost into every order an element for bad debts, debt collection and increased wastage. "The many would have to pay for the sins of the few". We would rather see all our customers benefit from our low costs. Back to top Why don't you increase your stock ranges? In order for us to be able to offer such competitive prices, we have to buy in bulk from our suppliers. Each option in our stock range therefore requires us to hold stocks and each £ tied up in stock requires an extra return and carries risk. We are quite happy to quote you for other options from all the brands featured in our range plus an ever increasing list of suppliers who we can deal with. If you would like to give us a call with the suppliers name, the design name and the colour we will give you a quote. We should still be competitive with anyone else in the High Street and when your fabric arrives we will send you a cutting to verify that it is exactly the right fabric before we cut it. Back to top I would like to have curtains to cut out the early morning sunlight in my bedroom but don't fancy black linings! Blackout lining is available for a small extra cost. It is not black but has a cream surface to face the curtain and a white surface to face the window. When the curtains are closed, it will completely prevent any light coming through the curtains but there may still be some light visible around the edges. If you are in any doubt, please ask for a sample - it's also great for shift workers and young children! Back to top Can you supply other options in your fabrics? Yes. Please call us for a quote
